Enjoy a Swiss treat to celebrate Swiss National Day with Chef Bela’s Zopf Recipe!

INGREDIENTS:

1500 grams Flour
750 grams Milk
225 grams Butter
3 medium Eggs
20 grams Sugar
20 grams Salt
20 grams Golden Syrup

PROCEDURE:

1. Mix all ingredients until it becomes a smooth elastic dough
2. Allow the dough to rest for 20 minutes
3. Divide dough into desired size
4. Using the dough, make a braid from 2 pieces
5. Brush the dough with egg wash and allow it to rise for 30 minutes
6. Brush again and bake at 230°C for approximately 25 minutes
