DOTONBORI

An iconic spot within walking distance from the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, Dotonbori is known for its dynamic LED billboards and vibrant atmosphere. As one of the hotels near Dotonbori, you can easily make your way via the Ebisubashi-suji Shopping Street, where you can also find knick knacks, souvenirs and street food available. Don’t forget to take a photo with the famous Glico Man and wave at the sightseeing boats by the river!

OSAKA CASTLE

Constructed in 1583, did you know that the Osaka Castle was originally intended to be the center of the new, unified Japan? The largest castle during that time, the grounds cover about two square kilometres which includes green spaces, sport facilities and a multi-purpose hall. During spring, the park serves as a popular Hanami (Cherry Blossom) picnic venue, and is also a must-visit for its traditional Winter Illumination.

OSAKA AQUARIUM KAIYUKAN

Opened in 1990, it was then the biggest aquarium in the world featuring marine exhibits ranging from Arctic to Tropical marine life. TEMPOZAN GIANT FERRIS WHEEL

Located a few steps from Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium, the 100-meter diameter ferris wheel takes 15 minutes on a single rotation. Visit on a sunny day and you can see Mt. Ikoma as the east side view, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge as the west side view and Mt. Rokko on the north.

UMEDA SKY BUILDING

A famous landmark in Osaka with a 40-storey two tower building, the spot is known for its breathtaking observatory. Make sure to take a snap as you ride the Insta-worthy escalator, crossing the bridge between two towers with a wide atrium-like dome in the center.

ABENO HARUKAS
