An iconic spot within walking distance from the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka, Dotonbori is known for its dynamic LED billboards and vibrant atmosphere. Constructed in 1583, did you know that the Osaka Castle was originally intended to be the center of the new, unified Japan? The largest castle during that time, the grounds cover about two square kilometres which includes green spaces, sport facilities and a multi-purpose hall. Located a few steps from Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium, the 100-meter diameter ferris wheel takes 15 minutes on a single rotation. Visit on a sunny day and you can see Mt. Ikoma as the east side view, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge as the west side view and Mt. Rokko on the north.
