Yes, guests who wish to smoke can use the designated smoking area located on the sixth floor.

 

What time can I check in?

Check-in time is from 3:00 PM onwards.

 

What time can I check out?

Check-out time is before 11:00 AM.

 

Can I check in early?

The standard check-in time is 3:00 PM onwards. However, you may be able to check in earlier if rooms are available. To increase your chances of an early check-in, please book your room for the previous night. We offer complimentary luggage storage so you can safely store your luggage before your room is ready for check-in.

 

Does the hotel have a late check-out time?

The standard check-out time is no later than 11:00 AM. However, late check-out is possible depending on room availability. Please inform the reception desk if you require a late check-out. A 50% surcharge may apply for check-ins before 5:00 PM and the full rate for check-ins after 5:00 PM.

 

What is your best cancellation policy for hotel rates?

Guests may cancel or modify their room reservations free of charge until 6:00 PM the day before their scheduled check-in date. Cancellations made after 6:00 PM will be charged for the first night’s stay of the intended check-in date.
Please note that promotions such as Advance Saver and Seasonal Saver are subject to individual terms and conditions; therefore, cancellation policies may vary. Please check the terms and conditions of each offer before making a reservation.

 

How much is the accommodation tax for my room reservation?

In accordance with Osaka Prefecture regulations, a residential tax will be levied effective September 1, 2025. Details are as follows: Effective September 1, 2025.

For accommodation costs less than 5,000 yen: Tax is exempt.
For accommodation costs between 5,000 yen and 14,999 yen: A tax of 200 yen will be charged.
For accommodation costs between 15,000 yen and 19,999 yen: A tax of 400 yen will be charged.
For accommodation costs of 20,000 yen or more: A tax of 500 yen will be charged.

The amount to be paid will be calculated based on the room rate per person per night.

Do you have rooms with extra beds?

All of our twin rooms can accommodate an extra bed. If you require an extra bed, please select “3 adults” when booking online. Please note that some rooms at Swissôtel Nankai Osaka cannot accommodate extra beds due to fire safety regulations.

 

Is it possible to request an extra bed in a queen or king-size room?

Yes, some of our larger rooms can accommodate extra beds. However, we cannot fit extra beds in the following rooms:

• Swiss Advantage Queen Room
• Swiss Advantage King Room
• Swiss Select Queen Room
• Swiss Select King Room
• Swiss Executive King Room

For other room types, an extra bed costs 10,000 yen per night, unless you specify three or more adults when booking. For Swiss Executie Rooms and other room types, the extra bed charge includes access to the Swiss Executive Club Lounge.

Does Swissôtel Nankai Osaka have beds for children?

We have cribs suitable for babies under two years old and weighing up to 15 kg. Cribs can be reserved online for free, subject to availability.

 

Do children have to pay any extra fees?

No, extra charges apply only when an extra bed is requested. Children aged 12 or younger sharing a bed with their parents stay free of charge. Please inform reception staff upon check-in if you are traveling with children.
