This June, the Empress Room Chinese Restaurant at the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka takes you on a cultural journey to China, featuring authentic Cantonese cuisine and traditional Chinese music on a one night only event.

Happening on Friday, 25 June, the Empress Room Chinese Cuisine Live Dinner features an interactive Chinese culinary performance from Chef Leow Leong Hock and his Chinese team of chefs. Experience a Chinese feast for the senses featuring the following menu:

  • Prawn Dumpling, Braised Abalone with Chinese Herbs, Poached Pork Belly Served with Garlic and Homemade Soy Sauce
  • Peking Duck with Foie Gras Rolled in Crêpe
  • Drunken Prawns Marinated in Chinese Wine
  • Clear Soup Served with Gold Leaves and Sea Cucumber, Stuffed with Minced Meat and Topped with Freshly Sliced Truffle
  • Pan-Fried Japanese Wagyu Beef Fillet on Black Bean Sauce
  • Steamed Red Grouper with Fragrant Leek and Soy Sauce
  • Steamed Glutinous Rice with Japanese Ise Lobster and Minced Garlic
  • Homemade Almond Jelly with Bird’s Nest and Crispy Sesame Ball

The dinner features a live show where diners witness the Chinese feast preparation right before their eyes, with a Peking Duck carving performance, a dynamic Drunken Prawn flambé service, table-side grilling by the Chefs and many more.

Guests availing the Chinese Cuisine Live Dinner get to enjoy one round of drink. For guests who wish to elevate their dining experience, Empress Room offers a special priced beverage menu which includes:

  • Bottle of Champagne – ¥13,500 (regular price at ¥17,000)
  • Bottle of Rosé Champagne – ¥19,000 (regular price at ¥24,000)
  • Bottle of 8 year Shaoxing Wine – ¥8,500 (regular price at ¥10,700)
  • Bottle of 10 year Shaoxing Wine – ¥12,000 (regular price at ¥14,950)

Drinks by the glass are also available.

While enjoying a Chinese feast, award-winning musician Naoko Yukimoto serenades guests with a Live Erhu Performance as the Chefs conduct their culinary performance. As the Director of Musicological Society of Republic of China in Japan, the musical stylings of award-winning Yukimoto has earned her international recognition as a solo performer of the Erhu instrument.

Attend this special event for ¥30,000 per person inclusive of service charge and consumption tax. Ticket price is inclusive of one drink. Gates open at 5:30 pm and event starts at 6:00 pm.
